The reason we feel pain is because there are many receptors within our bodies that are responsible for conveying messages to the brain. This becomes a problem when these messages are excessive. But, as we get older, our supply of endocannabinoids begins to diminish. Factors such as stress, illness and injury may prevent the production of these essential endocannabinoids.
This is where hemp oil can step in to supply the body and the CB1 and CB2 receptors ensuring that our bodies get enough rest, and a chance to repair and nourish the vital systems within the body that rely on the ECS.
It can also be very handy in signaling the immune system that inflammation is unnecessary and unwanted.
Is CBD Oil the same as Cannabidiol oil?
We often get asked is CBD Oil the same as Cannabidiol. Yes, in theory, but there are many companies selling CBD Seed Oil as Cannabidiol. CBD Seed Oil has little to none of the benefits of Hemp Oil/Cannabidiol.
Read both the label and the lab report. A COA will show you the cannabinoid profile with the percentage amounts of all of the cannabinoids present. Look for a company that chooses their Broad or Full Spectrum with a more complete range of cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN, CBC. It will cost the company more to purchase the raw product but you will definitely receive a better result because of the Entourage Effect.

Isolate CBD Oil
The first type of CBD Oil or Cannabidiol is called Isolate. It is made by isolating only the Cannabidiol from the Hemp Plant and by removing the other cannabinoids. It is a pure white in color and the Isolate we use is 99% pure. Many people choose Isolate as it is often less expensive than Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum.
Broad Spectrum CBD Oil
The second kind is a distillate called Broad Spectrum. It contains all of the cannabinoids but has NO THC. Many people like this form of tincture or topical especially if they need to pass a drug test for their job.
Full Spectrum CBD Oil
The third kind is called Full Spectrum and just as the name implies it contains all of the cannabinoids with 0.3% THC. Many doctors are beginning to recommend this kind of product as all of the cannabinoids are believed to work in conjunction with what is known as the ‘Entourage Effect’.
Research studies now suggest taking them together rather than taking them alone. It has been discovered that they work in conjunction with one another on a cellular level.
Why is CBD Oil dosage so important?
The great part about buying a stronger tincture is that you have far more control over your dosage. I find a problem we hear often in our industry is customers expecting a 350mg or 500mg tincture to combat severe pain. If they are only taking 0.50 of the dropper of a 30ml bottle they will only be receiving around 7mg or 8mg on Hemp Oil. This brings me to bioavailability. Tincture do have a far higher bioavailability than other methods of dosing but its still only around 40%. So with a 500mg bottle of Hemp Oil you may only receive 4mg of Cannabidiol.
This is not going to combat severe pain.
A dosage of 50-100mg would be far more effective. So thereby taking 0.50 of a dropper of Hempstrax 10,000mg Hemp Oil, you would receive a dosage ideal for treating pain.
CBG Oil for Pain
CBG is often referred to as the stem cell cannabinoid. All Phyto cannabinoids start out as CBG. The trichomes within the flower trigger the reaction that converts CBG into all of the other cannabinoids leaving only traces of CBG in the Hemp plant.
Geneticists have been able to isolate the recessive gene in hemp so these new hybrids contain a much higher percentage of CBG.
CBG has received much enthusiasm in the limited clinical trials that have been conducted as it is anti-inflammatory and ant-bacterial in nature. For this reason it appears to show incredible promise in treating pain. Combinations of Cannabidiol & Cannabigerol are very powerful. Another positive attribute is that it helps stimulate the growth of brain cells in elderly patients.

Cannabidiol and Cannabigerol are receiving widespread popularity for their proven ability to fight pain and inflammation and to treat a range of other illnesses. Always consult your physician before discontinuing the use of any medications and before starting new medications.
